Build quality Websites with Test Driven Development

Hi,
building websites can be tough, especially when there are CMS and Email-Forms on the page, because due to last minute changes in the sites, Emails can be lost and there might be malfunctions in the CMS, which of course only surface a week later, when the client actually starts to use the Site.
And no sweet […]

EU Wahl, Zukunft, etc.

Mark rambles about Notifications and Stuff, which brings me to a couple of ideas that are roaming my mind in respect to that kind of thing.
First of all, I do not like Notifications AT ALL. They are a major distraction, especially for me, as I am easily distracted. Therefore I’d suggest several countermeasures: First of […]

Google Chrome on Linux

Stuff that matters:

Clever Email Tricks

Ok, my mailbox was getting a little bit crowded, so I created a structure of about 70 subfolders for my mails, and appropriate rules to filter everything where it belongs. Good Idea, … However, now I have to go through 70 subfolders to find and read new mail. Not so good.
But, …
no more, I wrote […]

Project Microblogs

Hi,
I’ve set up a Microblogging Service for Propirate.net Users at microblogs.propirate.net.
Sign up for the service, and follow the guide below, to link your Jabber or Gtalk/GoogleChat to the blogging Service. By doing that, you well be blogging automagically, whenever you change your status message for the instant messenger. Try to say something witty.

Have fun,
Cheers

Punks & Hackers

Hi everyone,
I just recently had that conversation again, where I explained to someone that being a “Hacker” is not about being someone who commits computer crimes, but rather someone who is trying to look behind technology, and to understand and modify how things work. That for me a hacker is someone who likes to program […]
