Hi,
I did a little hacking this week, and fixed some small issues in sound handling und skipping lost frames. The timeline ruler has some timestamp marks, and the most recently used folder is restored.
The preferences data is stored using TinyXml which I will use for project files too. I’ve abandoned sfsexp bacause it’s a little akward, at least for me. 
I’ve also found out about darcsweb which seems to be a nice alternative to the basic web-interface provided with darcs. I think I’ll adopt it as soon as I have a little time left.
Concerning the future direction of the project I had a little discussion with Reinhard, who came up with this nice proposal for a video editor user interface. This led me to create a little mockup, about how a pro edition of the Open Movie Editor could look like.
